Big Sky and Yellowstone Region
HELPFUL HINTS FOR THOSE PLANNING THEIR TRIP TO
BIG SKY MASTERS CONCLAVE
Big Sky Masters Conclave Itinerary
ABOUT BIG SKY
Big Sky is in a beautiful valley 45 minutes south of Bozeman Montana and 45 minutes north of the west entrance into Yellowstone Park. Big Sky is a winter ski resort that is relatively quiet in the summertime. There is a lower Big Sky town center that hosts a good market known as "The Bears Market" for those reserving condos with kitchens. There are also small shops, restaurants and bakeries in the lower village.
About a 10 minute drive up the hill is the upper town center that hosts the Yellowstone Meeting Center and a cluster of three hotels, the Huntley Lodge, the Shoshone Condominiums, and the Summit Hotel. Also in the upper town center are shops for sundries and clothes along with sporting goods, and a small market that does not host much organic offering. Therefore those cooking in the evening may prefer to shop in the lower village for your food. Bozeman also hosts a lovely organic "Co-Op" and may be worth a drive to stock up the refrigerator prior to the event.
There are several restaurants in each hotel in the upper village plus a few outside within walking distance. The concierge is very helpful, and the hotel also offers a pass to ride up the gondola of the ski hill for day hiking. The region is exquisitely beautiful and we encourage those joining us to come early and remain a little later to enjoy the mountain, or journey into Yellowstone National Park. Each of the hotels has their own pools and jacuzzis that are open from early to late for your enjoyment and detoxification.
We have a room block in each of these hotels under "Spiritual School of Ascension" at much less than the rack rates for the rooms . You can view the rooms from the web site for each prior to making reservations. It may be easier for those attending Conclave, Community Day and Community Intensive to stay at the hotel, as you will be within walking distance to and from the events each day.

ABOUT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Yellowstone National Park is a 45 minute drive to the west entrance from Big Sky. The West Yellowstone region has many hotels and restaurants along with shops that you can visit or have lunch before entering Yellowstone Park. Yellowstone is a vast park and you can spend an entire day or more driving between all exhibits. Sometimes traffic backs up as the animals such as buffalo block the road. Therefore it is wise to take an entire day or two or more to explore the region.
Summer 2006 and Summer 2007 in Journeys with Mila and Oa for some photos of many of the beautiful places to visit within Yellowstone. As you enter the park from the West entrance, you will receive a map of all the exhibits and lodges to venture unto. You can ask the park ranger at the gate which way to go to see the Buffalo, as they generally migrate around the park from week to week.
There are lodges within the park that also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offer gifts and sundries. Some of the lodges are quite scenic in nature and wereconstructed long ago with interesting architecture. Mila and Oa have created a photo essay of their time in Yellowstone the last two years. See
Yellowstone Park for more information and to plan your stay or make your reservations.
Yellowstone is also filled with many campgrounds for those with trailers as well as choosing to camp by tent. Reservations are recommended as the park can fill up in summer time. There are also hotel rooms and cabins that you can rent in the many lodges within the park. These are often reserved months ahead of time so it is good to plan ahead. See
The Grand Tetons is south of Yellowstone and also hosts magnificent scenery and other camp grounds for those coming up from Salt Lake City or Jackson. Jackson
Wyoming is also an interesting place to visit with many restaurants and western type shops to enjoy, and is two hours south of Big Sky.
We hope that each creates a magical and joyous journey to and from the event. Intend this so in collaboration with the Earth Mother and Nature Kingdoms and so it will be. The Nature Kingdoms and land of Yellowstone looks forward unto each who chooses to join us and commune with us. Through communion and the sharing of love through the heart, much healing becomes possible for each ascending human and earth alike.
Namaste
